Nine Months!

Yesterday, Charlie officially turned nine months, about six months when adjusted for prematurity. At some point, I heard or read another NICU parent comment that going home from the NICU is only the end of the beginning. I found so much truth in that observation that it has stuck with me. Nevertheless, I would be foolish if I didn’t recognize how far Charlie has come in nine months. I will let the pictures do the talking.

Charlie was discharged five days shy of being three months old.

Charlie at four months on a late night walk to soothe her crying. We were to find out later that her excessive crying and stomach troubles were due to milk and soy protein allergies.

Finally, Charlie yesterday at nine months…

Happy nine months Charlie!
